Meet Richard

You deserve a space where you can be fully yourself.

Finding the right therapist is an important first step. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you need to have everything figured out.

I believe meaningful therapy grows from trust, respect, and genuine collaboration. Together, we will make sense of what you are experiencing, recognize the strengths you already carry, and develop practical ways to create the changes that matter to you.

Every person brings a unique story. Our work will reflect your goals, your needs, and the pace that feels right for you.

Why I chose this work

A career shaped by connection, curiosity, and care.

My path into mental health began while working in a school with adolescents who had special needs. That experience showed me how meaningful it can be to help someone feel understood, recognize their strengths, and discover new possibilities.

Over the past decade, I have worked across many levels of care, including in-home therapy, outpatient services, and inpatient behavioral health. My experience includes individual, family, and couples therapy, as well as parent guidance and crisis support.

I have worked with people from childhood through older adulthood. Those experiences have reinforced an important truth: there is no single formula for effective therapy. The relationship and treatment should be shaped around the person in the room.

Personal, practical, and collaborative.

Sessions may include exploring patterns, gaining new perspectives, strengthening coping skills, and identifying realistic next steps. We will regularly consider what is helping and adjust our approach as your needs evolve.

Beyond the therapy office

Grounded in the relationships and routines that make life meaningful.

Outside of clinical work, I enjoy spending time at the beach, exercising, and connecting with family and friends. Maintaining balance in my own life helps me bring presence, energy, and authenticity to my work with clients.

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about my practice. Whether we ultimately work together or not, I hope you find the support that is right for you.
